The Global Black Coalition visited community members in Ukraine. Many of them expressed their fear of leaving Ukraine, as well as their fear of living in Ukraine under this war. The psychological effects of this war are absolutely devastating! Many community want to leave Ukraine but are afraid that they will be rejected from other countries as it has been the case for many community members.
Over the past months, a lot of community members expressed that they would even rather move back to Ukraine during the war than being constantly chase out of European countries.
One of our team members took this trip opportunity to advocate on behalf of students in some universities so that they can release their transcripts.
We are troubled by the destruction that we are witnessing in Ukraine and the pain of our community members in and outside of Ukraine. We can only imagine what the people of Ukraine and all people affected by this war are going through.
