GBC x UOSU EMERGENCY COMMUNITY GRANTS

We are thrilled to announce the return and creation of the Global Black Coalition Emergency community grants for Africans fleeing the war in Ukraine, this time in collaboration with UOSU.

Since the beginning of the war, our commitment to the community has been and continues to be strong. We have been working very hard to support as many people as possible and hosted, up to date over 100 community meetings online and in person. We have listened to the needs of our community members.

The creation of the emergency community grant comes at a time when people need it most. Indeed, over the past weeks, as per what has been shared by community members during our healing circles and community meetings, times have gotten very hard for many people, women and children as well as many students.

Over the last week alone, we have assisted 287 youth to sign up to the Canadian Youth Program and the number is increasing as this weekend, we continue to assist more people. Please read carefully the details and qualifications for this grant.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NUMBER OF GRANTS ARE LIMITED AND WILL BE ATTRIBUTED BASED ON NEEDS AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR GRANTS ARE LIMITED. FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE A GRANT.

That being said, please rest assured that we are continuing to do our best to obtain more resources to support many more people.
