GoFundMe report: Because accountability is important

The Global Black Coalition is grateful for the ongoing support of people across the world who are continuously allowing us to make a difference.

On February 27, 2022, our Founder, Gwen Madiba launched a GoFundMe campaign to help us support as many people as we could in the community. She put a motion forward in February that requested that we hired an external accounting firm to audit our expenses. It was approved by all members.

The firm retained is Nuages Consulting Inc Chartered Professional Accountants based in Toronto, Canada as the fundraiser was started in Canada.

Here is a look at how the funds were spent. Please not that there is a pending funds accountability statement from a previous member which represents 36% ($48 500) of the funds received. This sum transferred to that organization is represented in blue on the graph ( under Canada and organizational expenses). Once we receive the statements from the previous members, we will update this information on our website.
