First Canadian visas granted to Black-led families that the Global Black Coalition support.

Coalition to protect Black People

Updated: Apr 14, 2022

A first family supported by the Global Black Coalition obtains their visa to head to Canada. Back in March, after helping them escape Kherson, Ukraine, our founder, Gwen Madiba sat down with the families in Paris to help them apply for visas.

We are pleased to inform you that our first family has obtained their visa and will be heading to Canada very soon where they will be welcomed by our Coalition members on the ground at the Hera Mission, Equal Chance, The Ottawa Black Diaspora Coalition, Sisters in Synch, Ensemble Non For Profit, Prezdential.

We have also advised their community association of their arrival. Our team will make sure that they find a safe home and have culturally relevant food while they navigate through their new society.
