On Saturday, April 9, 2022, International soccer player and Coalition member Frederic Bulot sat down with African students in Switzerland, Society Moko and the GBC founder, Gwen Madiba to discuss their concerns as well as hopes and plans for the future.
Fred Bulot then took them to watch the soccer game of the Bern Young Boys with the help of YB soccer player Theoson-Jordan Pefok. The evening brought back a big sense of hope to many community members who expressed their deepest gratitude. Activities like this allow community members to escape a bit and get back a sense of "normalcy".
Together, we explored possibilities including that of transferring them from Switzerland to other European and North American countries as the situation there is getting very difficult for them.
We have started contacting med schools around the world to see if it would be possible for them to be admitted into their programs. Many have started to respond positively.
We will keep you all updated.
